Q
How Wide Can Klaen Cover?
A

Klaen covers up to 49.59㎡. Using Klaen in a narrow space may cause the accumulation of ionized matters and ozone generation. It is recommended to ventilate the space often.

Q
How Can I Check on Klaen’s Air Sterilization Effect?
A

It is hard for general consumers to check on the sterilization effect. Klaen is certified to eliminate 99.9% of airborne bacteria (colon bacillus, pneumonia) by the authorized test agency.

Q
Is Klaen Safe from Ozone Harmful to Human Body?
A

Klaen has 3 modes. The first and second modes are for regular uses and third mode is the disinfection mode using ozone and OH radicals for powerful sterilization effect. According to the authorized certification agency, the ozone density is lower than the environmental standards. When using the third mode, generated ozone is reduced to oxygen within few minutes by ventilating the space with highly reactive substances.

Q
What is The Sterilization Mechanism of Klaen?
A

The surrounding air is converted into plasma to generate the highly reactive chemical species (OH radical, etc.). These are emitted to the air to chemically decompose and remove the microorganisms (bacteria, mold, virus, etc.) or harmful substances. (Surface Bacteria Reduction + Airborne Bacteria Reduction = Space Sterilization)

Q
How is Klaen Different from Other Air Sterilizers?
A

Most air sterilizers use UVC LED or use plasma and filter together. There are only few plasma-based air sterilizers.

Klaen adopted Agency for Defense Development’s flexible plasma technology developed against the chemical warfare. The flexible plasma technology maximizes the plasma generation efficiency to generate the plasma with less energy.

Difference from UVC-based Air Sterilizer In case of UVC-based air sterilizers, the sterilization takes place only at the lighted areas. As a result, the microorganisms on remaining air or surface may not be sterilized.

Q
What are the Differences between Air Purifier and Air Steril…
A

The filter-based air purifier filters the particulate matter and pollutants to clean the room air physically. On the other hand, air sterilizer does not have filters. The air sterilizer generates active oxygen or ionic substances with high-voltage discharge, UV, and plasma to reduce the airborne bacteria or odor-causing substances chemically.

The biggest difference between the air purifier and air sterilizer is the filter. The air sterilizer does not guarantee removal of particulate matters.
